Confidence in fusion power is growing, says global association in latest annual report. Public investment in private companies rose by 50%-plus
Investment in fusion companies is fast increasing, growing from $6.2 billion to $7.1 billion since last year, according to latest report by the Fusion Industry Association.
The boost in public investment in private companies has been particularly impressive, rising from $271 million to $426 million. That’s an increase of more than 50% in one year.
The report suggests this is a signal that it “will be business, not government, that will deliver the pilot plants that demonstrate fusion as a viable energy source.”
