Science|Business is a leading media and communications company specialised in EU research and innovation (R&I) policy matters. We are looking for an experienced part-time or full-time project manager to lead important health policy projects.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Leading and planning the execution of healthcare projects. Activities include public events (in Brussels and other EU major cities), reports and an online communication campaign (including podcasts, a blog, social media)
  • Managing client/stakeholder relations
  • Expanding the portfolio of partners/sponsors in specific projects
  • Coordinating with the other team members involved
  • Managing project-based budgets
  • Maintaining relevant databases, mailing lists and CRM content

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in public affairs or consultancy in the field of healthcare policy
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of EU healthcare policy and regulation (both at EU and national level) and some knowledge of the research & innovation policy landscape
  • A track record in managing client/stakeholder relationship, meeting client expectations and maintaining high quality activities and products
  • A demonstrated record of end-to-end project management
  • Fully fluent in English (native or equivalent)
  • Excellent communicator, both written and orally
  • Ability to win new business
  • Flexible, adaptable, good team worker

Wanted: Experienced European science and technology reporter

Science|Business, a Brussels and London-based media company, is seeking an experienced science & technology policy journalist in Europe to join our ambitious news team. The company, begun 17 years ago by former editors at the Wall Street Journal and Nature, provides daily coverage of European R&D policy to a growing online audience. This position broadens our coverage to include R&D strategies at companies and universities, and hot-button international S&T issues like AI R&D regulation and green energy R&D – in short, a rapidly changing set of newsy issues ideal for a great writer, a curious mind, and a fast and flexible reporter. This reporter would also assist on our core EU R&D policy coverage as needed.

Requirements:

-At least three years of professional journalism experience, with a journalism degree preferred

-Native-quality English – superb writing, and demonstrated skill at speedily reporting and writing both news features and live news

-A background in S&T policy or business

-A quick learner, able to jump from topic to topic, and explain it clearly to readers while finding the hottest news angles

-Based in Europe

-Full time position, available June 1
