Last week EU ministers reached agreement on setting up new facilities to provide increased access to supercomputing services, in a bid to boost the development of new AI-based companies and products.
The agreement broadens the objectives of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, which was set up in 2018. To date, the joint undertaking has procured nine supercomputers, located across Europe.
