Tech Europe Foundation hopes to raise €1 billion by 2030 to support the city’s innovation ecosystem
A plan to build up Milan’s innovation ecosystem unveiled in September spans basic research, entrepreneurship and company innovation, It has the goal of pulling in €1 billion by 2030 and eventually supporting 1,000 start-ups every year.
The project will be implemented by the Tech Europe Foundation, a non-profit organisation established by Politecnico di Milano and Bocconi University, with the financial data group ION and private equity firm FSI. The Milan Chamber of Commerce is its first sponsor, contributing €50 million to its initial budget of €100 million.
