The Stern report on climate change has provoked a flurry of responses from the usual suspects.

In the UK at least, you have to have been in a coma for rhe past week not to have seen media coverage of the Stern Review on the economics of climate change. This isn't the place to add to that mountain of analysis, but we did think it worth mentioning that some of the major organisations in science and technology have been less reticent. Sadly, in many cases they might as well have said nothing.

The Royal Society, for example, manages to produce a science free contribution from its President, Lord Rees.
