Business tool available
The European Commission and its European eBusiness Support Network (eBSN) have commissioned Fraunhofer IAO to develop an online catalogue of eBusiness and IT software applications and services.
The catalogue will help companies and consultants to find and select appropriate software products, solutions, and service providers. Suppliers may use this as a free platform to advertise their products and services.
Electronic business and IT solutions are key to enabling Europe’s companies to develop innovative products and processes and increase efficiency. They are also required if companies are to be involved in electronic trading networks. According to the Commission, it is especially difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to find, select and implement the right e-business solutions.
The catalogue will be accompanied by guidelines on how to select and apply the right e-business solution.
The portal will be operating by the end of 2007, when it will be available in all countries of the European Union.
