Just past the half-way point, 2025 is already shaping up to be a pivotal year for EU research. In July, the European Commission put forward plans for a new Horizon Europe programme to start in 2028. And there have been plenty of smaller developments signalling change coming to the EU research landscape. Here’s what’s happened in the first half of the year.
