The European funding landscape for dual-use and defence R&D is set for major changes after the European Parliament and EU member states struck a deal on November 5 on the so-called defence mini-omnibus.
The European Commission proposed the regulation in April to support innovative technologies and streamline access to EU funds for defence-related projects. This is part of the ReArm Europe Plan, which aims to leverage €800 billion in investment.
