Kurawood plc is to float on the Alternative Investment Market in London, raising £ 4.5 million. On admission the company will become owner of the Veco process for hardening fast-growing woods such as pine, creating a material that is tougher than hardwoods.

The Veco process, developed in New Zealand, involves simple organic chemistry that the company claims can be applied with industry standard equipment.
