You have until the end of the month to tell the EU about your "needs in relation to transnational research cooperation and knowledge transfer between public research organisations".

Just back from two weeks culture and walking in Derbyshire, we nearly missed the chance to alert you to yet another of those interminable consultations that seem to pass for consumer research these days. This time the EU wants to know what you think about "knowledge transfer (university-industry relations)".

You've got until  31 July to chip in.

Here's the preamble to the announcement:

"The Research Directorate-General, in cooperation with the Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, is consulting stakeholders on their needs in relation to transnational research cooperation and knowledge transfer between public research organisations (PROs - including universities, polytechnics and other public sector organisations involved in research, etc.) and industry and on possible actions in this field."
