Innovation on holiday

We applaud a rare bout of honesty.

Americans complain that Europe closes over the summer. Well, we like to take holidays here and don't want to work ourselves into early graves. But while Paris effectively closes down for August, and the rest of the EU does likewise albeit it less visibly, it is rare to see an organisation proclaiming that it has shut up shop. They usually just leave you to find out when you phone.

So, we reciprocate the message from the Nordic Innovation Centre. "Have a nice summer!" they say. Same to you, we reply. But we'll still be here melting into a clammy keyboard.

Actually, we should have told you about this before. The Nordic Innovation Centre reopens for business later this week. But we were, er, on holiday.
