Reading list – Healthy debate continues

The Council for Science and Technology has added to the advice on how to create healthier Britons.

Health Impacts - A Strategy Across Government is the latest report from the Council for Science and Technology, "the UK government's top-level advisory body on science and technology policy issues". Along with recommending that it isn't just down to the Department of Health to work towards a healthier population and that there should be better training for "Government policy-makers, across all departments" it says that "more resource should be devoted to ensuring that national data on the health of the population is more comprehensive and robust so that it provides the strong evidence base necessary for good policy-making across Government".
