The University of Pisa supports researchers, of any nationality, who wish to submit a project proposal for the ERC Consolidator Grant 2024 call, choosing the University of Pisa as their host institution, where a dedicated support service will be provided to researchers.

The European Research Council’s Consolidator Grant is one of the European Commission’s most prestigious grants and therefore highly competitive.  The funding is earmarked for researchers, who are in the middle phase of their scientific career (they can participate 7 years after completing their PhD), in order to strengthen their research groups and pursue innovative research activities on topics and methodologies of their choice.

The service proposed by UNIPI will be implemented by a consultancy agency and consists of an extensive and interactive review of the proposer’s CV and scientific profile (PI, Principal Investigator), as well as the project idea and its presentation.

Interested parties can submit proposals until 11th September 2023 by applying to the Consolidator@UNIPI call, published on the University website.

The call states that a maximum of 15 applicants selected by a special committee will be eligible for the service. The list of those admitted will be published by 25th September 2023 so that the service can be activated by the end of September, in order to be ready for submitting the proposal for the ERC Consolidator Grant by the deadline on 12th December 2023.
