Artificial intelligence (AI) is having a major impact on individuals, communities, the economy and political systems, transforming societies, institutions, governance and research. In order to respond to the challenge that AI systems are posing to our society and economy, the University of Deusto, together with the University of Rotterdam and the University of Lodz, met for two days to work on a project aimed at reducing the inequalities of vulnerable populations through a more reliable, secure and person-centred AI.

This internal meeting, promoted within the UNIC Alliance and hosted by the University of Deusto on 26 and 27 January, was a collaborative exercise for the co-creation of a project proposal in which, if approved, 12 institutions from 6 European countries will participate.

The project proposal will be submitted to the HORIZON CL2-2024-TRANSFORMATIONS-01-06 call with a deadline on February, 7th.
