Increasing security in cyberspace, securing data processing infrastructure and digitisation of the infrastructure of security services are the objectives of the new call for proposals, announced by the National Centre for Research and Development as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRF).
The KPO IPCEI CIS is addressed to single-entity applicants of two types:
Direct Partners - entities that are planning the implementation of Important Projects of Common European Interest Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services (IPCEI-CIS), for which, in the notification procedure, the European Commission issued a positive decision authorising the state aid. In the recruitment procedure for Direct Partners, support is provided for R+D+I activities (Research, Development and Innovation) as well as their initial application in industry. The forecast allocation for applicants is around EUR 38 million (PLN 170 million).
Indirect Partners - entities (including enterprises and research organisations) whose activities contribute to the implementation of the IPCEI-CIS objectives. For Indirect Partners support is provided for:
- projects including basic research (which may be implemented by a research organisation or enterprise);
- industrial research (which may be carried out by a research organisation or enterprise);
- the experimental development work which may be implemented by a research organisation or enterprise);
- pre-implementation work (which can only be carried out by a research organisation not directly responsible for implementing projects);
- pre-implementation work or de minimis aid (which can only be given by an enterprise).
The forecast allocation for Indirect Partners applicants is around EUR 61 million (PLN 275 million).
The total estimated budget for digital transformation under this call for proposals is more than 99 million euros (444 950 001,00 PLN).
