The COST Association is pleased to announce that on 13 November 2019, the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) approved the launch of the COST Innovators’ Grant (CIG) pilot scheme.

The COST Innovators’ Grant, as defined in the COST Strategic Plan, aims at enhancing the pace and success of breakthrough innovations, to build bridges between the scientific research performed in COST Actions and marketable applications and/or societal solutions and to explore innovation potential.

The COST Innovators’ Grant complements existing initiatives on innovation in H2020, as it focuses on networking activities and is only available to participants from running COST Actions. COST will maintain an interface with other relevant initiatives such as the ERC proof of concept, the EIC, FET Open, amongst others.

Pilot scheme

The COST Innovators’ Grant pilot scheme is open for ending Actions selected for funding under OC-2015-1, which finish before 31 May 2020. This will enable an almost seamless implementation of the CIG activities after the end of the Action.

The COST Innovators’ Grant activities funded under the pilot scheme will run from 1 May 2020 until 30 April 2021.

For more information on the CIGs please refer to the documents available here.
