Social sciences are represented in only a third of all Horizon Europe projects, the same as in Horizon 2020
An analysis of Horizon Europe projects by scientific area shows natural sciences is the clear leader in terms of both the number of projects and the amount of funding.
Of 13,340 currently approved projects, over 9,000 are in this category, according to CORDIS data.
This is followed in the ranking by engineering and technology, with 4,699 projects, while agricultural sciences is bottom, with 953 projects.
Social sciences and humanities are in the middle, and together represent around 33% of all projects.
