Poland hosts the first in a network of hubs solidifying the EU research programme for cancer

The first national hub for the Horizon Europe Mission to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment launched in Poland last week, paving the way for a network of hubs connecting all Horizon countries.
Through the Horizon Cancer Mission, the EU funds seed projects to encourage cancer research in Europe and beyond. Its goal is to improve the lives of more three million people affected by cancer by 2030. So far it has invested €725 million.
The hubs, launching with the help of a dedicated seed project, Echos, will coordinate this cooperation in Horizon Europe countries.
There are no strict rules for how the hubs should be structured and function. Some will build on existing structures, others will be completely new.
