The European Defence Fund launches a new business accelerator this year and opens multiple calls for research

The European Defence Fund (EDF) is launching a new business accelerator this year, an eight-month programme of bootcamps and coaching for Europe’s defence start-ups.
In its first year, the programme will work with 20 start-ups, to connect them with the defence innovation ecosystem, provide access to testing facilities and advance investor readiness.
The programme, which is open for applications until 27 April, has the broad aim of increasing cross-border collaboration in defence R&D in Europe, strengthening the bloc‘s industrial base and reducing fragmentations between countries. And of course, developing novel technologies that will help Europe meet its growing defence needs.
