The Horizon Europe partnership opens its first call for multi-country trials, as it looks for new funding partners for its next phase
ERA4Health has launched an €18.7 million pilot call for transnational clinical trials and is now on the hunt for new funding organisations to back the next phase of its work.
This first pilot call for EffecTrial projects will back comparative effectiveness trials to compare the effect of different drugs and other approved products in treating non communicable diseases.
Funding studies of these comparisons is of little interest to industry, leaving academic clinicians to initiate and carry out such trials. They are usually funded and coordinated by public or non-profit bodies.
EffecTrial projects will compare approved healthcare interventions addressing at least one of the following: cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, nutrition and lifestyle-related diseases, and non-communicable respiratory diseases.
