The call will include a €15M fast track to advance disruptive technologies, with priority given to SME and academic partners
The Clean Aviation joint undertaking will launch its third annual call for proposals in February 2025, with €380 million in EU funding, mostly for research related to regional and short-medium range aircraft.
For the first time, the call will dedicate €15 million to three fast track areas, in which projects must be led by SMEs, universities or research centres, who will benefit from simplified application processes.
The fast track is a way “to harvest potential solutions which are sometimes off road and not really part of the catalogue of technologies of the large [companies],” said Sébastien Dubois, head of programme development at Clean Aviation.
