EIT Food will host the 5th edition of the EIT Food Annual Event “Transforming Food Systems” on 27-28 June 2023 in Riga, Latvia. The event is an exceptional opportunity for individuals and organizations interested in the future of food systems to learn, connect, and amplify their impact.
Under the theme, "Transforming Food Systems," the EIT Food 2023 Annual event will facilitate collaboration to drive change towards healthier, more sustainable, and resilient food systems for all.

EIT Food's mission is to create a sustainable, healthy, and accessible food system that benefits both society and our planet. EIT Food engages stakeholders from across the entire agrifood chain to transform food systems: from farmers and start-up innovators to governments, regulators, EU institutions, researchers, entrepreneurs, and food industry professionals.
Open consortium building:
The EIT Food 2023 Annual Event is a golden opportunity to participate in the consortium building taking place during the programme. In Riga, delegates will receive more detail on EIT Food’s Mission-based funding plans which will launch after the summer:

To get a head start on consortia building and proposal planning, EIT Food will run its ever-popular matchmaking sessions, providing opportunities to meet the right partners and new collaborators who can deliver innovation programmes in response to the Mission-based funding.
The funding plans have been developed in response to Mission Insight Reports, co-produced by EIT Food’s community. The reports identify key opportunities and high impact areas for change within the food system, including Regenerative Agriculture, Protein Diversification and Retail & Out-of-Home Food. During the two-day event programme, EIT Food has reserved dedicated time for participants to connect and start their matchmaking, so join them there!
