SEAT has entered into a collaboration and sponsorship agreement with ESADE Business School. The formal signing of the agreement in Barcelona was attended by Luca de Meo, Chairman of the Executive Committee of SEAT; Xavier Ros, Vice President of Human Resources at SEAT; Eugenia Bieto, Director General of ESADE; Joaquín Uriach, President of ESADE Alumni; and Joaquin Bordas, President of ESADECREAPOLIS.

Under the new agreement, SEAT will actively participate in various training programmes at ESADE and will become an honorary member of the ESADE Foundation. ESADE is recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious business schools, in large measure because its custom programmes for executives have been ranked among the best in the world by the Financial Times.

Through ESADE, the automaker has also created the SEAT Scholarship, which has been awarded to two BBA students in order to enhance their training as future executives. The company will also collaborate with ESADECREAPOLIS through the Corporate Innovation Excellence Club to promote innovation and the creation of joint projects to enhance mobility in the future.

“This agreement strengthens SEAT’s ties to Barcelona as well as its commitment to training, innovation and talent management,” commented Luca de Meo, Chairman of the Executive Committee of SEAT. “It also allows us to strengthen the bond that has traditionally joined us to ESADE. We are pleased to contribute to the preparation of the young people who will become the executives of the future. I am certain that this relationship will benefit both parties, with SEAT contributing knowledge and experience and the young people contributing innovative ideas.”

Eugenia Bieto, Director General of ESADE, commented: “This alliance provides a natural framework for collaboration between two institutions that share values. Innovation is the cornerstone of the future of both ESADE and SEAT. That’s why I am convinced that this agreement will be very fruitful, with our areas of cooperation ranging from the Scholarship Programme to ESADE Alumni and the expansion of synergies at ESADECREAPOLIS.”

Support for talented young people

In order to take its involvement in the training of talented young people a step further, the automaker has teamed up with ESADE to create the SEAT Scholarship. Through this initiative, two students between the ages of 18 and 22 years will have the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at ESADE tuition-free.

SEAT will have a presence both inside and outside the classroom. The automaker will participate in events organised by ESADE Alumni, which are attended each year by more than 1,500 ESADE graduates. Among other activities, SEAT executives will participate in master classes and will launch the “SEAT Challenge”, in which a group of MBA students will be asked to address challenges related to the automaker’s core business. Another educational activity will be the SEAT Case Study, the conclusions of which will be published globally and made available for use by other business schools. In addition, SEAT will take part in the ESADE Talent Career Forum, and students will have the opportunity to visit and explore the company’s modern facilities in Martorell.
