INSEAD, the leading international business school, today announced the appointments of Deputy Deans Ilian Mihov and Peter Zemsky as Interim Deans of the school by the INSEAD Board of Directors. In addition, an eight-person Dean Search Committee has been created to identify a replacement for Dipak C. Jain who resigned as Dean of INSEAD for personal reasons effective March 1, 2013. Jain will remain with INSEAD as a Chaired Professor of Marketing and contribute through teaching and research.
Dr. Franz B. Humer, Chairman of the INSEAD Board of Directors said, “On behalf of the Board, I thank Ilian and Peter for agreeing to serve as Interim Deans and wish Dipak well in his new role.”
Ilian Mihov and Peter Zemsky are long-standing tenured faculty members who have been deeply involved in the school’s top-ranked education programmes. They will both have global responsibilities across INSEAD’s three international campuses, with Mihov focusing on Faculty and Research and Zemsky on Degree Programmes and Curriculum.
Jain said, “It has been a true honour to serve as Dean of INSEAD. I am happy to say that I will remain as a chaired professor in Marketing. I look forward to serving the school and working with my colleagues.”
Humer further commented, “The constant that remains amidst change is the depth and breadth of INSEAD’s faculty and staff. We will continue to champion our shared values for independence, diversity, entrepreneurship, closeness to business, rigour and relevance in teaching and research. This is one of the key reasons why INSEAD in fewer than five decades has become the business school for the world.”
