University of Bologna to award prizes of up to €7K in 'Inventing the Future - Digital technologies serving the community' competition

The University of Bologna has launched the competition "Inventing the Future - Digital technologies serving the community" for the best ideas presented by young people which have strong ties with the concept of the "common good", the local community and its activities.

Prizes will be awarded to the most innovative ideas, supported by digital technologies and based on issues linked to quality of life, presented by university students and graduates up to 31 from all over the European Union.

The competition aims to select and promote innovative solutions, supported by the use of Information and Communication Technologies, focusing on six fields of application: city and citizens; health and environment; children/ third age/disability; cultural and artistic heritage; education; art, media and entertainment.

The call for proposals deadline is August, 31st 2011.
