Bath Ventures has opened the call for applications in this year’s Technology Commercialisation Campaign.Bath Ventures will provide financial and in-kind support to successful applications in this year’s competition. Awards under this programme will support a variety of activities that are intended to further develop ideas that have commercial potential.

It is anticipated that awards between £10K and £50K will be given, but funding decisions will be made based on commercial potential as assessed by Bath Ventures in conjunction with the University’s partner, IP Group. The funding call is currently open and closes on Friday 1 July.  Selected applicants will be invited to give a short presentation of their proposal in early July, and awards will be made by Wednesday 20 July.

Successful applicants will clearly describe and validate the commercial need, illustrate how the project addresses the unmet need, describe how the approach is better than current or alternative approaches, explain why commercialisation is a suitable/desirable route for the underlying technology, and describe the next steps following the proposed project (assuming the work is reasonably successful).

For an application form, please e-mail Sean Smith: [email protected]. If you have any queries, please see the Bath Ventures website for more details and contact information for the Technology Transfer team.
