The European Institute of Innovation & Technology is looking to recruit a specialist team to drive its entrepreneurial activities forward

The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) is to establish a specialist group to direct its entrepreneurial activities and is currently advertising for two executives to form the basis of the team.

For one position of Senior Entrepreneurship Officer, the EIT is looking for someone who can take overall responsibility for entrepreneurship. The post is at AD8 grade. The ideal candidate for the second position of Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) Entrepreneurship Officer (at AD6 grade), will be familiar with all EU policies and institutions that have a bearing on entrepreneurship.

The vacancies are based on 5-year fixed, renewable contracts and will be located at the EIT’s headquarters in Budapest, Hungary.

The jobs are being advertised by Tim Mertens, acting head of the EIT’s unit for Strategy and Communication. The EIT entrepreneurship team will employ up to five staff, led by the applicant appointed to the senior position.

The entrepreneurship team is key to the EIT fulfilling its brief of integrating the three sides of the so-called Knowledge Triangle, establishing links between higher education, research and high tech companies, to promote innovation.
