Funding round completed

NEXThink SA, a spin-out from the artificial intelligence laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, has raised €3.7 million in a round led by Auriga Partners, a new NEXThink investor, and existing investor Venture Incubator.

The company will use the money to further develop its market and to accelerate research and development. In particular, it is planned to develop new collaboration technology that will increase the already widespread use of its REFLEX software suite among security teams.

“Refocusing information security on the human factor to better manage IT risk and compliance is NEXThink’s mission,” said CEO Vincent Bieri. “Security solutions have a technological component but security is fundamentally a people problem that is too often overlooked.” Failing to recognise the threats from unintentional, unknown and careless behaviours is the cause of most recent and material security incidents.
