Collaboration bring novel battery technology to hearing aids

ReVolt Technology is to collaborate with Europe’s leading hearing aid manufacturer, Phonak AG, on the design and development of a new generation of rechargeable zinc-air batteries for hearing aids based on ReVolt’s battery technology.

Rechargeable zinc-air batteries provide more than twice as much energy as conventional Li-ion batteries, cost less to manufacture, are safer to use, and are more environmentally friendly. ReVolt’s technology is based on six years of research and development at SINTEF, in Norway, the largest independent research institute in Scandinavia.
