AIM floatation

Alternative Energy Ltd is to float on the Alternative Investment Market in London to raise £4 million to invest in alternative energy companies and technologies.

The Singapore-based company has been set up to invest in, or acquire, technologies and companies which offer an alternative to conventional fossil fuel and nuclear power. The company plans that it will always take control, or have a large enough stake to influence the strategic direction of investee companies.

Alternative Energy Ltd will initially focus on investments in the European Union and Asia where it sees a number of opportunities to acquire interests in suitable technologies.

The company is being brought to the market by Beaumont Cornish Ltd.
