£10M competition for companies to make buildings greener

The UK Technology Strategy Board announced a competition in which it will award £10 million to companies with technologies for improving the green credentials of existing buildings.

Retrofit for the Future will fund development of methods for improving the environmental sustainability of buildings, including homes. The money is intended to create a minimum of 50 new prototype technologies. Those that are successful could be adopted by the government through public procurement to help meet climate change goals.
