ISERD

ISERD, the Israel – Europe Research & Innovation Directorate, is the leading organization in Israel whose mission is to increase Israel’s scientific and industrial collaboration with the European research and innovation ecosystem

ISERD is an inter-ministerial directorate, established by the Israeli Ministry of Economy, the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, operates through the Israel Innovation Authority.

ISERD is the official national contact point and portal for R&D cooperation in Israel and is responsible for promoting the participation of Israeli entities in the EU’s Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation and Its mission is delivered through five different divisions:

  • Excellence in Science, SSHA & Science in Society
  • Innovation in SMEs
  • ICT, Secure Societies, FET
  • Health, Food & Agriculture, Environment & Clean and Efficient Energy, Research Infrastructures
  • Industrial Technologies, Transport, Aeronautics & Space

Among its core services, ISERD provides information on various funding and collaboration opportunities in the European landscape, assists in partner searches and proposal submission processes, and organizes seminars, learning and exposure meetings, and matchmaking events for joint collaboration opportunities.
