EUA and fellow stakeholders call on EU Commission to strengthen SDG strategy

On 18 December, 27 organisations – including EUA – have called on the European Commission to strengthen its strategy for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. In a letter to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, members of the European Commission’s SDG Stakeholder Platform call for an overarching EU strategy with a comprehensive, targeted and time-bound approach.

EUA has been member of the Stakeholder Platform since its beginning in 2017 and has contributed to its input for the European Commission Reflection Paper: A Sustainable Europe by 2030, among other things underlining the importance of investments in research, education and innovation for achieving the goals.
