The European Consortium of Innovative University (ECIU) has just launched a Research Mobility Fund, aiming at increasing collaboration amongst its researchers. University of Twente researchers are invited to apply for a travel grant of up to 5.000 Euros for a stay at one of the 11 partner universities in Europe and in Mexico.

The mobility fund works as an incentive to explore and deepen research collaboration within the ECIU network. Researchers coming together through the scheme are invited to explore possible international high quality research outputs, for example joint research funding grant applications, scientific publications and research projects. The mobility fund ultimately supports professional development of ECIU researchers, by supporting know-how exchange in an international high-quality research environment.

For interested researchers

The University of Twente encourages early career researchers to apply, including PhD students. The fund is open to all disciplines; preferences are given to applications addressing the ECIU joint strategic research areas of Smart Society and Industry 4.0. Connection to innovation and Entrepreneurship is of added value to an application. Funds may be considered for applications aiming at exploring bilateral or multilateral collaborations between ECIU partners.

Researchers can apply throughout the whole year, during 2018. Interested researchers at the UT can get in touch with Telma Esteves (Research grant support office), the local contact person for the ECIU Mobility Fund. Detailed rules and regulations, as well as application form, can be found under: https://www.eciu.org/for-staff/research-mobility-fund.
