According to Felix Faucon, French member of the EU expert group on Health Systems Performance Assessment, France is the only country where almost all the acute care hospitals gather patient data and use the results in real time.
“In one year, over 600 000 patients in France received the link enabling them to answer the questionnaire […] and, over 110 000 patients actually answered,” says Faucon. Collecting and analysing this data will enable patients to make an informed choice when they’re looking for a hospital.
