France: patient satisfaction ratings of 1,000 hospitals are now available online.

December 15th saw the first publication of patient satisfaction rankings in France, with data for 983 hospitals now available online. The ratings are based on the opinions of 56,759 patients who spent more than 48 hours at the facilities.

Satisfaction rates for most of the French hospital and medical clinics are now available online, as French Social Affairs Inspector General Felix Faucon announced last November at a Healthy Measures conference.

The grades are calculated based on ‘e-Satis’ an online poll where patients who spent more than 48 hours in a hospital assess the care received. Together with the patients’ scores, the system shows a grade given by an external evaluation agency.

All the results are available on Scope Santé website.
