Web marketing and social media manager

Science|Business opens a full-time position to run its social media activities and reinforce its communications team.
Main responsibilities include:
- Handle mailing service (Campaign Master)
- Writing and posting content in the Science|Business’ general and project-specific social accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube, Instagramm, Flickr)
- Engineer and execute social media campaign for clients
- Review analytics and suggest actions accordingly
- Support to the events team
Profile
- Excellent knowledge of English (native or equivalent)
- Experience in social media
- HTML skills
- General understanding of the EU institutions and some knowledge of the research & innovation policy framework
- Good communicator, both written and orally (evidence of written work and a test of on the phone may be required from the candidate during the interview process)
- Flexible, adaptable, good team worker
- Design skills are a plus
- Experience with database management a plus
- Suitable for a recent graduate

Policy analyst/writer

Science|Business opens a full-time position to be a policy analyst/writer for reports, news and events related to EU research and innovation policy.
Main responsibilities include
- Drafting policy reports on various aspects of EU R&I policy and related sectoral issues (in energy, ICT, health and other domains), on behalf of our network of 60+ universities, companies and public sector organisations
- Researching and writing articles, reports and other documents for communications projects
- Writing news articles on sector-specific aspects of R&I policy, such as energy, health or ICT.
- Research on key R&I-related policies and issues
- Research and support in developing agendas, content and publications for our events
- Contributing to social media or other communications tasks
Profile
- Superb English writing – a frustrated poet or novelist, who can make any topic a pleasure to read
- Understanding of EU institutions and some knowledge of the research & innovation policy framework. Deeper knowledge of a particular sector a plus.
- Self-starting, passionate policy researcher and writer who wants, through his or her work with us, to improve the way Europe manages its research and innovation policies
- Flexible, adaptable, good team worker
- An ideal position for an ambitious, rising policy analyst or policy journalist
- At least 2 years of experience in related work. A policy degree is a plus.
