With the new Commission now in place, Wopke Hoekstra from the Netherlands has officially begun a five-year term as the EU Commissioner for Climate, Net-Zero and Clean Growth.
During his confirmation hearing in the European Parliament, Hoekstra emphasised his dedication to advancing decarbonisation efforts.
