EU fund for clean tech deployment will finance 61 projects as the EU looks to create pipeline from Horizon Europe to the market

The EU’s Innovation Fund is set to invest €2.9 billion in 61 projects in its newest funding round for net-zero technology deployment.
The projects will focus on energy-intensive industries, renewable energy and energy storage, net-zero mobility and buildings, cleantech manufacturing and industrial carbon management.
All of the projects will be in line with the Clean Industrial Deal, the EU’s blueprint for turning its decarbonisation push into a driver for economic growth, presented in February.
Under the Clean Industrial Deal, the Commission wants to see a smoother pipeline from green technology innovation to deployment, including projects originally funded by the €93.5 billion Horizon Europe research programme.
