Here’s a list of funding opportunities in the EU, Singapore, Australia and the US
The European Commission is set to launch several calls for proposals under the Horizon Europe programme this month, including those related to research and innovation in photovoltaics.
The Commission has a long history of supporting photovoltaic (PV) research. In 1980 it began a Photovoltaic Solar Energy initiative for R&D as part of a broader strategy towards cutting carbon emissions. In recent years, its efforts have stepped up – such as in the 2019 launch of its Green Deal with the goal of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. Then in 2022, responding to the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine, the EU launched a strategy to expand solar PV installations across member states, with the goal of reaching 320 GW of installed capacity by 2025 and 600 GW by 2030.
