Norwegian Government: Think green innovation

This wide-ranging viewpoint by Norway lays out the wishes of the government, as well as a number of Norwegian stakeholders, on the principles, priorities and structure of FP9


Norway has a keen interest in contributing to FP9 as the EU’s Framework Programmes are an important part of Norway’s research and innovation policy. It pushes for a green-focussed programme with a strong innovation emphasis and an international outreach.

From the text:

“The world outside of Europe has to be taken much more into account in the next Framework Programme. This is important for quality in research, for innovation and for exports and trade. Europe is currently facing a range of challenges, which to a large extent are of global nature. Research and innovation should i.a. contribute to the 2030 UN Agenda for Sustainable Development and the global climate agreement reached at the Paris climate conference (COP21) in December 2015.”
