"Yuki wearables for kids", a business idea developed by two students in ESADE’s Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE), was chosen as the winner of Startup Weekend Barcelona. Sebastian Bausch and Bernard Jansen pitched their idea at the contest last weekend and were chosen as the most promising of 44 entrants.
The Yuki team of designers, entrepreneurs and developers worked on the project all weekend and came up with a business model, a live website and a functioning minimum viable product. After Sebastian’s pitch on Sunday evening, a panel of entrepreneurs, business angels and venture capitalists chose the Yuki team as the winners.
The team received various prizes that will support their fast-growing business, including spots in the next pre-accelerator programme organised by Google for Entrepreneurs.
