ESOF2012: Innovation competition open for applications

Competitors can win tickets to Europe's largest general science meeting, set to take place in Dublin this year

The Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) is looking for creative minds to showcase their inventions to some of the most pioneering minds in science and industry. Finalists receive free tickets to the conference and have a chance of winning prizes.

ESOF2012, set to take place in Dublin on 12 July, is Europe’s largest general science meeting and is held in a major European city every two years. Science|Business CEO and editor Richard L. Hudson will moderate several panel discussions at this year’s event.

Shortlisted competitors will get the opportunity to pitch their innovations in three minutes or less to a panel of distinguished judges comprising of experts from both academia and industry.

The top fifteen applicants shortlisted to compete at the Invention Convention will receive complimentary registration to ESOF2012. The winning pitch will receive €500 and an Apple iPad, with the two runners-up receiving €250.

Professionals, entrepreneurs, master’s students, PhD candidates or postdocs willing to showcase their innovations can get their pitch in by 17:00 on 7 June, by completing the application form.
