European Commission looking for ideas on how to boost SME innovation capacity

13 May 2011 | Network Updates

INNOVA Europe is carrying out a survey for the European Commission as part of a feasibility study on how new EU measures could increase the innovation capacity of European SMEs.

The study aims to take stock of key barriers to innovation in SMEs, to enquire after “existing support measures” to address key barriers to innovation in SMEs and to find “planned support measures.”

Participants in the survey are also encouraged to provide their own suggestions and recommendations for new support measures that could help to get rid of key barriers to innovation in SMEs. The outcome of the survey will contribute to a broad-based approach to raise the innovation capacity of SMEs in Europe.

The questionnaire can be filled out online, before 31st May 2011.
