Kent Enterprise at the University of Kent, UK, is setting an Inventors’ Club for students and would-be entrepreneurs in the region.

The objectives of the club are to promote and build an enterprise culture in East Kent, support graduate retention by encouraging business start-ups, raise awareness of opportunities, provide support for start-ups and promote technology transfer from the university

Carole Barron, director of Kent Enterprise, the university’s technology commercialisation arm, said: “It has been proven that the more support and encouragement received at the ideas and invention stage, the greater the survival rate of young companies. The East Kent Inventor’s Club will provide inventors with the support they require to develop and take forward their ideas or inventions into a viable profitable generating business proposition.”
