Internet storage provider raises €2.5M in first round

Agematis SA, of Bruges, a  specialist in online storage software, closed its first round of private investment, raising €2.5 million.

The company said it will use the money to increase investment in R&D and to develop sales and marketing capabilities.

Agematis’s software enables internet service providers to sell on line storage services.

Jacques Meheut, partner at lead investor Innovacom, said “We were attracted to Agematis because its technology addresses fundamental changes to the way valuable data will be stored and how and where it will be used in the future.”

Agematis has alliances and partnerships with Internet Service Providers including Nordnet, a subsidiary of France Telecom, NeufCegetel, Erenis, Bugbusters, A6T and Ipnotic Telecom.
