KSD Software Norway gets funding from Eqvitec Technology Fund III

Eqvitec Technology Fund III agreed to invest in KSD Software Norway AS, a developer of software for managing customs clearance and external logistics systems in the transportation, retail and trading industries.

"The new funding will position the company to be one of the major players in customs handling and logistics in Europe,” said Svenn Widerberg, CEO.  KSD recently set up a US subsidiary and plans to expand in the Far East.

“KSD Software is one of the most exciting growth companies in the Nordic countries today,” said Eqvitec partner Jukka Jokinen. “The company has already shown it has world class competence in automated customs and logistics systems, serving some of the world’s most demanding customers who rely on KSD’s products in order to keep their edge in the increasingly competitive environment.”

Eqvitec Partners Oy is one of the largest technology venture capital and private equity firms in Northern Europe. The company was founded in 1997 and employs 15 investments professionals in Helsinki and Stockholm. Eqvitec Partners currently advises five funds with a total capital base of 440 million euros. The funds invest in technology companies in all phases from start-up to buyouts. At the moment the funds have investments in 40 companies and have carried out 35 exits.
