INRIA to host meeting on EU framework for tech transfer

INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control, is to host a Rendez-vous in Brussels at on 28 May dealing with the hot topic of innovating for competitiveness in the globally competitive information and communication technologies sector.

Keynote speeches will come from Zoran Stancic, Deputy Director General, “scientific advances”, DG Research, European Commission, and Laurent Kott, CEO of INRIA-Transferat, which specialises in guiding, evaluating, and financing innovative high-tech IT start-ups.

A roundtable discussion on the conditions for efficient tech transfer in Europe will include contributions from Eric Bantegnie, CEO, Estérel Technologies; MEP Jorgo Chatzimarkakis; Andrew Herbert, Managing Director of Mircrosoft Research Cambridge and Magnus Madfors, Director of R&D Policy at Ericsson.
