Cambridge Enterprise posts Annual Report

Cambridge Enterprise, the technology transfer arm of the University of Cambridge, UK, has published its annual report for the year ended June 2007, and placed it online.

Chief Executive Teri Willey reports “a new policy, new management, a new organisational structure and new relationships with the University” as well as “solid performance”. Sixty licences, 95 consultancy contracts and 12 investments were closed. Cambridge Enterprise alo took over the management of portfolio of shareholdings in 72 companies held by Cambridge or its affiliates.

Income from technology and knowledge transfer was £6 million, of which £5.3 million was returned to university academics and departments. Cambridge Enterprise now has 341 active licence agreements, earning £4 million during the year.
