ETH students to demonstrate market-oriented products

20 May 2008 | Network Updates

Students from the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at the ETH-Zürich, Switzerland, are to demonstrate four projects next week (27 May) resulting from so-called “focus projects” that aim at developing a marketable product. The projects, which run each year, involve the student teams in all phases of product development, including marketing, conception, design, engineering, simulation, production and service operation.

This year’s projects are a machine for shooting footballs, a walking robot, and two racing cars – one of which is a hybrid. Both cars will race in July at the UK Formula Student Races in Silverstone, UK.

The results of the focus projects will be on show on Tuesday 27 May from 16.30pm to 18.40pm. For more information, contact Kevin Sartori at [email protected].
